George W. Brackenridge Foundation

Grant Process

Close-up of a pen tip near a financial document with a dollar sign.

Most of the Brackenridge Foundation philanthropy is directed towards charter schools serving grades K-12, but the Foundation also provides some funding to private schools serving the same grades. The Foundation also supports a limited number of education-related organizations focused on assisting parents as they navigate the school choice sector.

The Foundation does not fund ancillary programs, field trips, transportation, or fundraising activities including races and galas.

Grants range from $10,000 to $3,000,000, with larger grants distributed over multiple years.

The Foundation has several grant distributions committed for the coming months. However, small grant requests will be considered, and larger grants may be pledged several years in advance, so please do not let that information deter you from reaching out.

If you are an operator located in another Texas city - or a different state entirely - with an impressive academic track record and an interest in expansion, please reach out through the form below and someone will reply.

Please note, the Foundation only funds schools and education-related organizations operating within, or expanding to, the greater San Antonio region.
